Trip to Zurich for the WEF visitors. Flew LGW-BSL with Easyjet then caught a train to Zurich. Very easy to do, there is a bus every 7 minutes from Basle airport to the railway station, takes about 15 minutes or so, then you can either get a direct train to Zurich aiport (hourly) or go via Zurich main station and change which takes only a few minutes longer depending which service you get, cost was SWF70 i think (i didn't pay as i get it free).

Not a particularly busy airport, has viewing area's on the French and Swiss sides and you can walk freely between the 2 parts. Walked out of the terminal (Swiss) to get the biz, head off to the Right, and follow the road out of terminal, past the hangers and at a roundabout walk to the Right towards another hanger. The road climbs up to a bridge which goes over another road, from this bridge you get a good view of the biz ramp.

First hour on car park 6 then caught bus over to the new viewing deck on terminal 3 (the midfeild terminal). From the main terminal follow signs for the observation deck, there is a small building past car park 1, you need to go through security screening as the bus operates air side. Once on the viewing deck, ther are seats outside or you can stand inside in the warm, toilets and vending machines are provided to. We also took one of the airside tours each day too.
