Log Paris Orly Sunday 8th June 08;

Thought we'd have a weekend in Paris sometime to cover Orly and CDG, deciding to do Orly on the Sunday as you get a fair few flights from North Africa, plus Air France have several 777's based too. Flew Southampton to Paris CDG on Saturday morning, had the day at CDG and got the Air France bus over at 2000. Stayed 2 nights at the Kyriad Athis Thon, only 5 min bus ride, the hotel is opposite the preserved Concorde, Mercure and Caravelle. 59 Euro's a night for a twin room, free airport shuttle. Got the shuttle at 0900 on Sunday morining and 2140 back.

Didn't log Air France airbuses except the newer 321's, lots of the domestic 319/320/321 here.
Not sure exactly how many AF B777's are based here, 6 or 7 i think. We saw 5 flights arrive on the Sunday.
There is a flight to Reunion which departs daily at 2100 and doesn't return until 0625 33 hours later so
you won't see them all in a day, 2 visits are required. We called in on Monday morning to see F-GSQT arrive
from Reunion before getting the bus back to CDG. F-GSQI departed empty to CDG on Sunday afternoon and
F-GSQP positioned back in for the Reunion flight. Also A330 F-GZCE postioned back to CDG off maintenance and B777
F-GSQC arrived for maintenace. The Air Austral B777 was in the hanger area so i guess that too was for
maintenance. The 5 Easyjet A319's noted were all old ones, G-EZAA/AK/AS/IX/SM

Looks like another good trip Kev...good info on those Air France 777s did not realise they had 6 or 7 at Orly. Did you take pics from the famous mound at CDG?...btw i am off to Toronto tomorrow thanks for the info...keep those logs coming
