Bratislava 25/06;

Having had 3 days at Vienna i decided we ought to go somewhere today regardless of the weather and had decided to go to Salzburg on the train but after looking into trains times and connections (and the weather), we decided not to bother and instead go to Bratislava. There is a bus nearly every hour direct from Vienna airport to Bratislava airport, takes 1¼ hour and goes via Bratislava bus station first. A day return ticket costs €11 and you can have either 40 mins there if you come back on the same bus or 1 hr 40 mins if you wait for the next one which is what we done.
Its not an overly busy airport. CSA ATR42's come in 4 times a day, Ryanair are quite frequent. Danube Wings have recently started flights with ATR72's (ex Aer Arran though). The 2 Slovak Gov TU154's live there (reason for going really) plus a few biz. There is a panorama resteraunt on the 3rd floor giving pretty good views though work is being done to the terminal which may obstruct this when its finnished. Some biz jets were parked done by the tower so we walked down that end first before going to the resteraunt for a drink.

Vienna 25/06;

Got back at 3 pm and boy did it rain in the afternoon, along with thunder and lightening, quite good watching the storm from the car park.
