    Lost Germany the Airbus poker?

After reading a couple of headlines in the last few weeks I mused about Airbus Germany in about 10 – 15 years. There was the big issue: “GERMANY BUYS JOB AT AIRBUS” published when Airbus agreed on promise to the Germany government that the next single aisle aircraft will be assemble in Hamburg exclusively, in a trade for loans for the A350xWB. So, well done by the Germans, I thought in the first place. But, hey the next day, no opposition by the French was published. Why? With all recent announcement on Airbus that favor Germany you had massive opposition in French newspaper, even when Hamburg started the final assembly of the A320 also, which actually was agreed about ten years ago. So, did I just miss them? Or do they thing in 2024 nobody will remember this agreement, especially because they are non-actionable anyway. Or should I really go more paranoid? Let’s go for a crazy thought that brought together some other recent headlines: Air France (and others) request Airbus (and Boeing) to build a “twin aisle narrow body”. And many people are convinced anyway, that the A30x will be larger than the current A320 family. At least there will be no A318 successor, if you take its “success”. And then there are the suggested or just mused tied ups between Dassault and Embraer on the next Brazilian 5th generation fighter and, if so, on a larger civilian aircraft. So, when French government is pressing on the latter tied up and, certainly, putting some money into such a joint-venture to be. Would they then give money to Airbus to build a competitor? Wouldn’t they be more interested in getting an assembly line in Merignac? Than Airbus will build a twin aisle only, which is build, as all twin aisle aircraft, in Toulouse. To paranoid, isn’t it? There are some good reasons for be nonsense, like the large, expensive facilities in Hamburg etc. But, what do you think about that thought?
