LOT Polish Airlines is in negotiations with Boeing to obtain a delivery date for the first of the eight 787s it has on order.
Speaking at the Airline Business World Air Forum in Amsterdam, LOT chief executive Marcin Pirog confirmed that LOT will still be the first European carrier to receive the Dreamliner.
LOT had expected to receive five of the eight Boeing 787s it has on order in April 2012, but the first delivery has now been pushed back until the second half of the year.
Pirog said the carrier would use the aircraft to develop new routes to destinations in Asia including Beijing, Tokyo and Shanghai.
