Lufthansa said on Thursday it had rescheduled some aircraft deliveries that had originally been planned for 2010-2013 to help cut costs amid the global economic crisis.
Germany's flagship carrier did not say how many deliveries were affected, and when it now expected to receive the planes. Aircraft it has on order include Airbus A320 family planes and Embraer planes.
Lufthansa earlier reported better-than-expected third-quarter results, though it provided a gloomy outlook for the airline industry, saying any green shoots of recovery were being swamped by pricing pressure in both passenger and cargo services.
Airlines around the world have been grounding planes and cancelling aircraft orders to cope with lower demand. Plane makers Airbus and Boeing are headed for their worst annual order tally in at least 15 years.
