Maastricht airport closed after Cargolux incident

A Cargolux Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration LX-GCV performing freight flight CV-715 (dep Mar 16th) from Nairobi (Kenya) to Maastricht (Netherlands) with 2 crew, had just landed on runway 21 and was supposed to backtrack the runway to taxi to the apron, however, during the 180 degrees turn the nose gear went off the paved surface and got stuck in the grass at around 08:45 local (07:45Z).

The airport had to be closed until the airplane was moved out of the dirt around 14:00 local (13:00Z).

According to the airport the airplane carried about 100 tons of flowers and vegetables.
