Malaysia Airlines is considering Bombardier as a potential aircraft supplier for its Firefly subsidiary when it returns to operations next year, according to the country's Business Times.
The report suggests Firefly is considering the Canadian aircraft maker as an alternative to the current French-Italian made ATR planes.
The newspaper however quoted Firefly chief executive Ignatius Ong as saying the airline was looking at all turboprop options which could "cater to our existing network for increases in frequencies, as well as longer range within Asean to give us more potential destinations."
