    Merlin trouble on HMS Illustrious

There's a picture on ship-spotting.com of a Royal Navy Merlin with its nose wheel off the edge of the carrier deck while she was in Istanbul a few days ago. There's no mention of injuries so hopefully everyone was OK but presumably that tow-bar was once attached to a tug which I can only assume went over the side.

Another image shows a crane being bought alongside, I can only assume it was used to lift the Merlin back onboard.

It looks like the crane's hook is right on the waterline, so maybe it was going tug fishing?

Impressive aviation find on not at all aviation website.... kudos to you Batfink:

Can't really take credit for it, I saw it on PPruNe.
