Hindustan Aeronautics Limited built GNAT aircraft. An extremely delightful aircraft to fly and yet a nightmare with its unique control and weapon systems. The pilot got the feeling of not sitting in the cockpit, but wearing an aeroplane around him. Highly relevant during its time as it was difficult to spot due its small size and no other aircreaft could match it in a dog-fight. Its a different matter that the guns stopped just when you had the enemy aircraft in your sights! It was also claimed a large number of test pilot lives.
