Near miss over Manchester?

Saw this near Manchester last Sunday, about halfway to Liverpool in fact.  They were very close, as you can see, and another a/c was out in front too.  They look like 747s to me but I don't recognise the airline.  What do people think?  This is a very busy area so near miss or convoy?  They were heading wnw-ish.

They will be heading into the Trans Atlantic corridor and the plane on the right is actually way lower than the one on the left

The Angle makes it look like that. With TCAS...Theres no real danger.
