At a press conference today, PAL president and COO Ramon S Ang revealed five new international routes for the airline, according to local media. Alongside six services set to start to Kuala Lumpur, Darwin, Brisbane, Perth, Guanzhou and Abu Dhabi, PAL is now expanding in the Middle East, he said.
"From the UAE, for example, overseas Filipino workers can easily connect to other key cities or countries through PAL’s airline partners in the Gulf," said Ang. From November 1, Dubai will join the airline’s network. On December 1, PAL will start flying to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Dubai. The five destinations bring PAL’s new international routes to open this year up to 11. The carrier has already announced that Kuala Lumpur will join the carrier’s network on May 2, followed by Darwin, Brisbane and Perth on June 1, Guangzhou on June 2, and Abu Dhabi on October 1. PAL already codeshares with Qatar Airways to Doha, and Emirates to Dubai.Source: routenews, Piers Evans
