Just to add to this that we had no problems spotting from the banquet room in the Rad at LAX. We were also able to plug in our SBS up there with no problem
At PHX we went to Cutters. We were allowed to take photos initially but once a couple of Biz pax complained (why, who knows? Probably using their biz jets for non biz purposes) this had to stop after a visit from the PD. Cutters told them and us it was ok to spot there, and even offered us the use of the Old Control Tower attached to it.
