Nice to see a completely new rear-engined airliner design for a change. Anyone else think this has a passing resemblance to the DC-9/MD-80?

The Woracle Graham Warwick has this to say about the matter:

The initial companies believed to have ordered the ARJ-21 are Shanghai Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and Shenzhen Financial Leasing Co.

This is what it should look like when they stick all the bits together. The nose area on the model reminded me of the MD.

Note the Chinese "Global Hawk" model too.
