hie,my name is ennegrai from Zimbabwe and I am 25 years old.I would like to go for pilot training but lack financial support.Where do I go?
Hello!
If you want to get an atpl pilot training so that you can work for an airline you can try cathay cadet programme. Etihad had one but i think they dropped it.
I'm not too sure about South African pilot programmes and their citizenship conditions.
You can also ask at your local carrier if there is a free way/subsidized way to become a pilot.
If you have another citizenship like Australian, Singaporean or a EU country I think you can try the cadet programme from qantas, singapore, airfrance, lufthansa or swiss. I'm not too sure about age requirements and money/warranties/bindings you have to sign - you might be too old and you surely must speak the language perfectly.
If you want only a ppl license you can go at several school in your area or in SA and ask for rates.
They are usually cheap and you can pay as you fly. In my country you could get free parachuting and gliding lessons up to the age of 21 - You should find out about local gatherings, air clubs and their t&c about free lessons.
Hey there are various training institutes who provides scholarship on the basis of grades. You have to prepare yourself accordingly, so that you can get scholarship for your pilot training.
