    Flightglobal:
Six ideas that were seen as having the most potential included: alternative propulsion, a cruiser/feeder type of long range transport, ground-assisted take-off and landing, personal air travel, advanced airport systems and global air traffic systems. ...

Same old things! And a nuclear aircraft is so unrealistic for cost and safety I can't believe they waste their time on it. Even that new LFTR reactor would be difficult for a nuclear plane! How come we never see the pod-hauler concept? There is only a few papers written on them but they seem like a great idea. It is like the sky-crane helicopter. It only has the minimum to fly but it can carry any needed shape. You can then have "boxes" that can go by truck, rail, sea or plane! And the planes operate continuously instead of being tied up in the loading and unloading at a terminal. Now you can have "hubs" in-between big cities and the traveler never leaves the pod that goes down a high speed rail to the plane. Don't know if they can make those fly, but it sure would be convenient and cheep overall!

    Thunderbird 6

.....Safely back at Tracy Island, Brains proudly reveals the new Thunderbird 6, which turns out to be the Tiger Moth, which Jeff and the others agree has certainly proven its worth.

Well, that is all very fine and jolly, but I am still most curious as to the 'real' relationship between Lady Penelope and that Parker butler fellah? Is he really just a humble servant? That cockney accent could be just a front for a sophisticated 'man-of-the world' who is the real brains behind their covert operations. And why does their automobile have the four-wheel bogie at the front? And why do 'International Rescue' aircraft carry no Rego. markings. That is surely non-compliant with ICAO standards? How come they never seem to request Airways Clearances? Also, those young pilots seem to be very cavalier as to their pre-takeoff checks....all over the shop! It's just not on don't you know! And such non-standard RT terminology. I mean, what on earth does F.A.B really mean? We need answers to these pressing questions. What is the UK CAA doing about it; that's what I want to know. I pay my taxes so have my rights.

More serious is how did an ex NASA Astronaut make enough money to fund the whole project ?.Did Brains hand build all those craft ?, if not who did ? . These things have worried me since I was six . I agree we need answers.

    Plot:
Born 2nd January 2009, was raised on a wheat farm in Kansas, In the year 2065, Jeff Tracy, then a lunar astronaut, gives up his space carreer to take care of his five children after the passing away of his wife. His great skill as a construction engineer has made him one of the richest men in the world. He finds that he must use this fortune to benefit others. His answer is to create 'International Rescue', a unique private emergency response service equipped with custom designed vehicles and equipment that enable the organization to react to any crisis whether it be in sea, air, land, or space.

The Secret Service was actually a hybrid of live-action and 'Supermarionation' controlled by thin wires from above.

OK so you've got the 1965 Thunderbirds annual .  Shame Concorde was the nearest we ever got to something like the 'Fire-Flash' in real life

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, 'Concorde'

What with Jeff's connections at NASA I'm quite sure Brains could come up with something a lot faster than that, M'lady.
