    Surprise.. Surprise.. Do people actually care if Teal Group has doubt?  What only matters is if Bombardier or Lufthansa had doubts

    The C-series faces three challenges in the market.

    First, will it be a sufficiently cost-effective improvement over the slightly smaller Embraer E190/E195,

    which will be very well established by the C Series service entry date?

    Second, will the fuel economy be sufficient to offset weight and maintenance issues surrounding the GTF?

    Third, will it face a bigger challenge from an all-composite A318 replacement as part of the A320 series replacement?

    No leasing company will want to take on these risks speculatively, so Bombardier need large airlines willing to do so.

    Lufthansa alone may not be enough in the current climate. Two large airlines should be...
