    Rolls Royce Allison 250

In its many forms and guises, being used in both rotary wing and fixed wing operations, including UAVs, this venerable, simple turbine still evolves into advanced forms as new technologies and aircraft appear. The latest 300 series for the forthcoming Robinson R-66 helicopter being a good example. With fixed wing aircraft, as well as helicopters, this engine provides economical and reliable operation at the lower flight levels.

A most important engine in the long history of small to mid-size aircraft, for both rotary and fixed wings.
