Russia's government has taken delivery of a Tupolev Tu-204-300 twinjet from the Ulyanovsk-based airframer Aviastar.
The aircraft was handed over to the presidential office's air wing during a ceremony on 9 January.
United Aircraft said the Tu-204-300, a long-range version of the baseline Tu-204, is powered by Aviadvigatel PS-90A engines and has been fitted with modern communications systems and a noise-protected VIP interior.
"Tests have been successful," said Aviastar general director Sergei Dementiev, who added that there was a demand for a high-quality aircraft because it would be flying senior members of the government.
Aviastar is preparing to deliver another Tu-204-300 to the air wing.
