Morning All,
                  2 friends are currently in Delhi spotting from the Radisson. They were spotted on airport CCTV looking at aircraft from
ther hotel room. The authorities were dispatched to check them out and they are still being detained in their room (they should of checked
out and flew home today) some 24 hours later. Apparently there was a bomb blast in India over the weekend so security was on high alert and
the guys have SBS and this is causing some concern to the Indians as they are completely unaware of what it is or in fact the whole concept
of plane spotting. Their passports and log books have been taken at the moment although they still have the laptop and SBS.
They have made the local news over there too;

Kev, I hope everything's turned out well for your friends.

Thanks Batfink!

Also, I've been thinking about this incident. My view: spotting in a country not spotter friendly is one thing, but doing so after a terrorist attack is another. Their case seems extreme, but I would have expected to be hassled under the circumstances.

Update;

The guys were taken to a deportation centre Wednesday but are still there whilst paper work is finalised. Hopefully they'll be home the weekend. I guess they were unfortunate to be there when a bomb went off and security was heightened. Since being moved thier phones have been confiscated so i haven't spoke since Wednesday morning. Guess they are just longing to get home now. Stories in the Indian press about them having scanners and listeneing to planes were rubbish in case anybody saw them.. Cheers

Kev
