Hi Chris,

           I went in late 2008 and only to the International airport. This is a copy of what i saw;

Kuala Lumpur/Jakarta 05/11;

After an enjoyable day at KUL, we flew down to Jakarta on the last flight of the day, QZ 7605 operated by Indonesia AirAsia
B737 PK-AWC, flight was quiet so had a row of seats each. (AirAsia are like easy and ryan, buy on board, free for all seating etc).
On arrival at Jakarta had to get a visa, very simple process, there is a visa office before immigration lines, just pay $10 USD, you'll get a sticker in the passport
then clear immigration as normal. Stayed 2 nights at the excellent Jakarta Airport Hotel (http://jakartaairporthotel.com/), located above
terminal 2 at CGK. $100 USD for a twin room inc buffet breakfast, all rooms will have a view out, we had 02 and 04.
Terminal 2 at CGK is the international terminal along with domestic flights for Garuda and Merpati. Aircraft using this terminal will i would say use the runway that side prob 95% or higher of the time. There are no viewing area's at terminal 2 but you can spot from your room anyway.
The domestic terminal 1 can be reached by shuttle bus. Aircraft using T1 would again use its associated runway probably 95% of the time too. In the 2 days we were there i only saw a JAL 767 land on the domestic side but a few domestice movements did use the international side. We just alternated between the two terminals when we felt  like it. T1 domestic has 5 viewing area's. The first and last offer limited views, the middle 3 are better. As you probably know there are a lot of stored aircraft at CGK and its worth walking around to all viewing area's getting different angles and we also walked between T1 and T2 as well to get a bit more. Over the 2 days we got all the Lion Air B737/900's, still needed a few Garuda 737's. The Garuda 330's seem to operate more from Denpassar (Bali), we only saw 3 of the 6, and only 1 of thier 747/400's although we saw 3 leased jumbo's too. Saudi Arabian were a surprise, on the second day we got 3
747's and a 777, other Middle East airlines like Ek, QR and EY seemed to be daily as well as frequent visits by SQ, CX, CI and QF among others.

Very enjoyable couple of days, nice to see 737/200 and MD80's in abundance. Flew to Singapore on Lufthansa B747 D-ABVO LH 779.

I would imagine some of the stored stuff has gone and maybe others arrived instead. I have no info on Halim so can't help with that sorry. Cheers
