It seems that the man who flew solo around the world without refueling (and has broken 116 world records) is missing, after leaving Nevada airport on Monday.

Let's hope that he is found soon as we need some more old school adventurers like him in the world. I know he has the money to do it, but i like it that he keeps challenging himself!!!

Still no sign of Steve; interestingly it seems that they are using Google Earth to try and find him. Apparently Google Earth takes images of each area every 3 months or so, but they have taken recent images of the Nevada area to speed up the search and attempt to establish sightings of him.

It seems like the BBC is behind AirSpace

Is it just me or is this whole mysterious disappearance thing deeply suspicious?  This makes Lord Lucan seem tame.  Not one to generally believe in conspiracy theories but if they have found some six formerly unknown crashed aircraft but not Fosset then where on earth did he get to?  Now they have called off the search - even more suspicious.
