Tests from the Flight International Archive - Are you up to the challenge?

As you all know, Flightglobal has archived the last 100 years of Flight International magazine, chronicling all the big events in aviation.I have been doing some exploring and set out some challenges for you fair AirSpace user. These challenges are pretty easy to start, but here you go (extra points if you can link to the article in your answer):

Challenge One: What's significant about this event, and what date did it happen :

    The spaceship Vostok 5,
piloted by a citizen of the Soviet Union, pilot-cosmonaut Lt-Col
Valery Fedorovich Bykovsky, was placed in orbit around the
Earth in the Soviet Union at 3 p.m. Moscow time on *******. The purpose of the new space flight is:—

Challenge Two : What aircraft is this describing (clue: it had a significant anniversary this year):

AT the present moment, when the eyes of the world
are directed to the scintillating progress of the aviators
on the Continent, ******* alone shines as a flying star
    above British soil

Challenge Three: What icon od aviation is this referring to (clue - the title of the article is "flawed icon"):

    Nestled in the rolling English
    countryside around 80km (50
miles) from London is a 13th century
    village pub - The Bell
Inn at Aldworth - which is a
small but significant symbol of the admiration
    people worldwide hold for *********.

Challenge 4: and finally, for some "Have i got news for you" style fun, guess the missing word:

Voyager 2 details Uranus and *******

    Best of luck
