The Flightglobal poll asks the question that many airline CEOs are thinking, who should pay for compensating passengers?

  • Should it be the governments for being slow in responding or being overcautious in their analysis?
  • Should the airlines pay? They benefit from the air fare so why should they not provide their passengers with the complete service even though this event is undoubtedly exceptional and unpredictable.
  • Should insurers pay - what the heck is act of god anyway. Surely if you pay for insurance it should be for every eventuality, or do they deserve protection too.
  • Should passengers pay- they risk the travel so should they pay their own way

Remember - YOU DECIDE?

Hi the Airlines should pay, for far to long now the CEO,S have compromised safety with cost cutting measures which impact on safety yet keep assuring the Public that safety is non negotiable. I was a casualty of SAA for not compromising safety and passenger convieniance on a Flight in 2004.

That's a bold claim to make that airlines have compromised on safety by cutting costs. Do you have examples to back that up?
