Certainly interesting reading but I'm curious about safety implications. In an emergency the passengers on the top level would have to climb down the ladders and into the aisle before they can begin to evacuate the aircraft, would this cause them any trouble in getting it certified for use?

Yeah - i agreee. am wondering how the cabin crew would service - so to speak - the passengers in the upper window seats.
