Transaero Airlines, Russia’s second-largest air carrier, added one more Boeing 747-400 aircraft to its fleet, bringing the total number of aircraft to 65.

The Boeing 747-400 has three class configurations with 12 seats in Imperial class, 50 seats in Business class and 313 in Economy class with seat pitch of 32 inches.

The aircraft had been previously operated by Singapore Airlines. This is the first of five aircraft of this type that Transaero will acquire from the national carrier of Singapore.

Recently acquired Boeing 747-400 has already operated its first flight in Transaero’s livery on route between Moscow and Khabarovsk. New Transaero’s in-flight tableware for Business and Economy class passengers was introduced on this flight.

The acquisition of the new aircraft has further contributed to Transaero’s leading positions as the largest operator of long-haul wide-body aircraft in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe.
