Turkish carrier Izair is in the process of transitioning from an Airbus A320-family to a Boeing 737-800 fleet.
Sertac Haybat, general manager of Pegasus Airlines - which has a stake in Izair - said: "The number of aircraft in Izair's fleet increased to seven by adding two 737-800s. Next year, the airline will give back three Airbus A319s and two A320s."
By the beginning of 2012, Izair plans to replace its remaining Airbus fleet with 737-800s from Pegasus, said Haybat.
"Our aim is to make parallel all operations of Pegasus and Izair together. We [asked the] Turkish CAA to use common flight crews in both airlines. If they agree, we plan to start this," added Haybat.
