The Civil Aviation Affairs Undersecretary also head of the higher organizing committee of Bahrain International Air-Show Captain Abdulrahman Al-Qa’ood revealed that the value of deals signed during the show exceeded all expectations, reached US$ 930 million.
Al-Q’aood, in a press conference held on the morning of the third and last day of the air-show, had announced that the value of packages signed was US$ 850 million. He also pointed out that a number of military deals have been sealed which he would not disclose owing to their sensitivity. However, he said that some aviation companies signed an agreement to establish a maintenance center in Bahrain which means the creation of many job opportunities.
Similarly, Captain Abdulrahman Al-Qa’ood told Bahrain TV that six major firms confirmed their presence in the upcoming Bahrain International Air-Show 2014 and expressed readiness to sign for this purpose directly with Bahrain on the third and last day of Bahrain International Air-show 2012.
Al-Qa’ood remarked that this evidences the success of the show on the one hand and the world trust in Bahrain’s economy on the other hand.
