Airbus A300-620 5A-IAY (msn 354 built 1984) of Afriqiyah Airways was destroyed after it was burnt out at Tripoli International Airport, Tripoli, Libya on August 24. The battle between Libyan rebels and Gaddafi Loyalists intensified during Wednesday 24 August and in a rocket attack on the International airport at least one aircraft was destroyed. Other unconfirmed reports suggest more aircraft have been damaged including Airbus A320-214 5A-ONK (msn 4330 built 2010)
