This year is Flight’s 100th year of publishing.

As part of this year’s on-going celebrations, we want to discover what the industry regards as the Greatest Engine in the last 100 years of powered flight.

The Rolls-Royce Pegasus, Pratt & Whitney JT3D, General Electric GE90? Obviously, there are many engines worthy of consideration and everyone has their own opinion.

In this forum we're looking for you to share your memories and opinions on what you regard as the greatest in its field.

And if you're looking for inspiration, why not peruse our fully-searchable online archive of 100 years of Flight?

I look forward to seeing your suggestions and reasons.

Kind regards,

Michael Targett
