I don't know about you but i will be watching with interest the big unveiling of the 787. I don't really remember the Airbus unveiling having a week long daily video?
What can we expect from the unveiling...lots of scantily clad women dancing around it, or some performance pieces ala the opening to the Olympics. Or can we just expect John Travolta...
Long long time ago when the DC-9 Super 80 had its roll-out, there were flight attendants of all airlines who ordered this aircraft and these employees deplaned from two aircraft - one was in the colours of Austrian and the other in those of Swissair. Just before deplaning musicians from Ireland (because of the manufacturer´s name) and Switzerland (because of Swissair) played traditional music. Here are two photos:

But the roll-out of the 787 will be naturally much bigger and more spectacular - the aircraft is bigger, times changed and the media is very important.
I will try to watch the roll-out of the 787 live.
Kindest regards, IB M87
The Winner Takes It All
I hope they show the interior in full detail to the public! I want to see the video! A few beautiful women in bikinis would be nice, as well.
It would be awesome if they surprise us with something huge, that they purposely kept a secret until the official unveiling! Something we'd never expect to see on an airliner. Ah well, I shouldn't get my hopes up, eh?
The 787 is still going to be an AWESOME airliner, from what I've seen so far! That is for sure! :)
Hi!
My impression: it was a nice ceremony. But with a bit too long "talking, talking talking" phase at the beginning.
The animation with all those 787 at an airport morphing all the different airline customers c/s was a nice feature!I'm looking forward to see the Dreamliner in reality!
But, I think my favorite airplane will stay the 777.

There was a good reason why nobody could see the interior of the Dreamliner. It hadn't been completed yet:

I especially like the expression: "No, it wasn't terrorist threats or crazy Airbus' ninja teams trying to destroy it"
