Currently it looks like I am the only one around here who loves radial engines... This is an invitation to join the "I Love Radial Engines" group, so it can stop being a "one man show".
Gravity always wins!
Being somewhat relatively new to the FlightGlobal forum, I only today came across this post. I LOVE RADIALS!!!! Radials are a head-twister. No matter what I'm doing, when I hear the distinctive sound of a radial, I stop what I'm doing and twist my head to find that sound. Many a day lying in my back yard asa kid I stared at the DC-3's and and various 4-engine Boeing/Lockheed/Douglas aircraft flying over my house going into Boston or Hanscom AFB.
Hello Mark77,
You are the first to comment on my group and I appreciate that. I will post new photos here and also keep telling stories about radials when I have some, so stay tuned.
As for your comment on Bud Light you are correct :-))
You are in Washington DC? or thereabout? I was at the Udvar-Hazy/Smithsonian museum a couple of years ago. Very nice collection.
I don't know if I lost an e-mail from you about the Collings Foundation? If so let me know.
Best regards
