Coventry Airport is eagerly anticipating the arrival of the first Wizz Air flight from Poland this week. The inaugural flight from Katowice will arrive at Coventry this Friday, 13 July.

Wizz Air will be operating a three times weekly (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) service to Katowice, the capital of South Poland, using an 180-seater Airbus A320 aircraft. 

Anyone know the times of arrival and departure?

Flights commence on Friday 13th....

Timings are: arrive at 13.10 as W6 113

Depart as W6 114 at 13.40.

Todays flight was operated by HA-LPM which is newish to Wizz.

Early indication suggests the flight is carrying good loads.

Just seen going in on Runway 23 at Coventry was A320 LZ-MDT in Via colours, time 14.10. Another to look for later this afternoon is Citation YU-BZZ at 15.50.

Todays 07/09/2007  Wizz will be A320-232, LZ-MDB, MSN 3125 Air Via...the flights currently running way behind and time of arrival is estimated at 20.35

Todays Wizz (12/09/2007) will be A320 HA-LPD...and so far it's on time

Due for the 19th (Wednesday) is HA-LPC, seems to be on time at the moment.

Wizz have posted on their website a new route from Coventry-Gdansk, see;

It will run 3 times a week from March 15th, 2008. Times are very late in the evening on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. The flight will arrive at Coventry around 22.45, and depart around 23.20, arriving in Gdansk at 02.40ish. Not many pictures to be had there then!
