Interesting post by David Learmount on his blog regarding women pilots, and how in modern cockpits and airliners, they are better than the male counterparts, due to their skills (team work/greater concentration) being better than men.
Now without the stereotypical arguments about male and females, it does make interesting reading and shows how changing CRM conditions can make different skills more important than others.
Saying that though, the first comment that David had is classic:
I am a senior pilot and check-airman with a major international airline, and in the over 25000 hours that I have flown, I have never met a female pilot that really has the "right stuff". They don't have the situational awareness that men have, and they don't posses the flight technique to make them good aviators.

I've visited David's blog. From just a quick look it would appear he's chosen not to publish my comments
SURELY IF WOMEN/CHAPPETTES WERE MEANT TO BE PILOTS, THE SKY WOULD BE PINK?
(I have taken great pains to ensure Mrs. Dakota never sees this!)
