Fleet Plan News: Air Sweden receives first Airbus A320

The wet-leasing and charter specialist, which launched services last February with a single McDonnell Douglas MD-81, received the first of two Airbus A320s (SE-RJN, serial 169) on 24 June 2010, on lease from Aviation Capital Group. This aircraft, painted white overall, was ferried to Prague on 29 June 2010 for sub-lease to in Travel Service Airlines and was quickly repainted into the Czech carrier's colours prior to entry into service. A second, as yet unidentified A320, bearing the registration SE-RJM, was recently seen parked outside the Latecoere Aeroservices facility in Montpellier in full Air Sweden colours.

A320 SE-RJM has now been identified as serial 289, a former Air Malta machine which most recently flew on lease to Gulf Air until May 2009 as A9C-EP. The aircraft left Montpellier bound for Air Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda base on 8 July 2010.
