Russian low-cost carrier SkyExpress is expected to take delivery of the first of three former easyJet Airbus A319s before the end of this month, with the remaining two due in May 2011. The aircraft are being acquired on five-year operating leases from Irish-based lessor Oak Hill Aircraft / OH Aircraft III. The first aircraft is to be registered VQ-BLY. SkyExpress will operate the aircraft with 156 economy seats on both scheduled and charter routes with the most intensive passenger traffic. The carrier is to retain its existing fleet of seven 132-seat Boeing 737-500s and two 148-seat Boeing 737-300s.
