The Russian flag carrier became the second airline to take delivery of the Sukhoi Superjet in a formal handover on 6 June 2011 of its first SSJ 100-95LR (reg RA-89001, serial 95008). The PowerJet SaM146 powered aircraft, named "M. Vodopyanov", is scheduled to enter service on 16 June 2011, on an inaugural flight between Moscow and St.Petersburg. Regular services from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod are expected to follow. Aeroflot has 30 Superjets on firm order, which are expected to be taken on financial leases, and options on 30 more. Aeroflot's delivery schedule calls for 10 Superjets to be delivered in this year, 12 in 2012 and eight in 2013.
