The Irish flag carrier will take delivery today (30 June 2011) of the first of four, former Iberia, Airbus A319-111s (reg EI-EPR / serial 3169). The remaining three aircraft, in delivery order will be EI-EPS/3377, EI-EPT/3054, and EI-EPU/3102. All four CFM56-5B5/P-powered aircraft are being leased from RBS Aviation Capital. Aer Lingus plans to introduce the new type into service in March 2012. My contact was also able to confirm that Aer Lingus is not the unidentified European network carrier that recently placed an order with Bombardier for 10 CSeries aircraft.
