The national carrier of Laos has signed an order valued at $91m order with Airbus for two A320 aircraft which were originally destined for Libyan carrier Afriqiyah Airways. The CFM56-5B4/3 powered aircraft will be configured in two-classes with 16 seats in Business Class and 126 seats in Economy Class. The aircraft will serve routes linking the capital, Vientiane with destinations in South East Asia, including Bangkok and Singapore. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery by the end of October 2011 and the second in November 2011.
