The airline will receive the widebody aircraft (reg B-6136, serial 031) this month with a second (reg B-6137, serial 036) following in October. China Southern Airlines will be the first operator of the A380-841, powered by Trent 970-84 engines, to use it on domestic routes. Daily services on the Guangzhou - Beijing and Guangzhou – Shanghai Hongqiao routes will begin on 18 October and 27 October respectively.
