The Belgian flag carrier will shortly add the first of two ex-Swiss Airbus A330-223 aircraft (regs HB-IQA and HB-IQC, serials 229 and 249 respectively) to its fleet. This is part of the airline’s fleet renewal and expansion plans as it phases out its Avro RJ aircraft and Boeing fleet. The Airbus A330-200 will be a new model series to the fleet and will be utilised on African and American routes. Brussels Airlines already operates five Airbus A330-300 on long haul routes.
