Fleet Plan News: British Airways receives first Boeing 747-8F

Global Supply Systems (GSS) took delivery of the first of three Boeing 747-87UF/SCD freighters (reg G-GSSD, serial 37561) at London Stansted on 4 November 2011. The GEnx-2B67 powered aircraft is the first of three which will be wet-leased to British Airways World Cargo and operated in full BAWC colours. UK company GSS is a joint venture in which New York-based Atlas Air Worldwide holds a 49% interest. Both the remaining aircraft (reg G-CSSE, serial 37565 and G-GSSF/ 37566) are scheduled for delivery to Stansted before the end of 2011.
