Japan's first full-service, dedicated
low cost carrier took delivery at Osaka’s Kansai International Airport on 9
November 2011 of its first Airbus A320-214 (reg JA801P, serial 4887). The CFM56-5B4/3 powered, 180-seat aircraft is the first of 10 to be acquired on
operating lease from GECAS. Established in February 2011 as a joint venture
between ANA All Nippon Airways and Hong Kong-based First Eastern Investment
Group, Peach plans to launch domestic services from Osaka on 1 March 2012. International
services to destinations in China, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan and
Thailand are expected before the end of 2012.
