We are in the process of putting together the next edition of JP Fleets and have arrived at the most presitigious part for any enthusiast, the hallowed front cover. We are looking for the best images to put onto the 2010/11 front cover and need your help to get the best in aircraft photography.

From now until 22 February, we will be deliberating on the best images uploaded to AirSpace to use as front cover pictures. To enter, Simply add your best images to either the JP Fleets 2010/2011 gallery or your own gallery that is created when you join AirSpace (an explanation of how to add a picture).

For every image used, the winning photographer will win a copy of JP Fleets 2010. We need tail and nose images for the cover and the image used needs to preferably be a minimum of 300 DPI resolution and be at least 22cm high or wide.

Remember, to find out the latest from this year's JP Fleets production, join the JP Airline Fleets group.

Best of luck,

Maverick

The flip side of the proposal is that we would need to remove SELCAL to accommodate the Hex code field

(Mode-S is a Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) technique with a selective interrogation of aircraft with its unique 24-bit, referred to as the Hex code worldwide address. This enables a unique identification of aircraft removing the risk of confusion due to overlapping signals.)

Further more we would like to have a Hex code look up on Airspace, this will enable you to type in a registration of an aircraft and find the Hex code plus type of aircraft.

We look forward to receiving comments and suggestions on the diversity of Hex codes vs. SELCAL’s for JP, or any other ideas for the future.

Welcome to the JP Airline Fleets Group

Hi,
