The Typhoon is in the 100th anniversary colours of 3 Squadron, based at RAF Coningsby. It is also carrying the code of a Hawker Hurricane, which served with 3SQN During world war 2. Seen at night at RAF Northolt.

This fine example is another restoration by Andre Tempest at the Yorkshire Air Museum and soon to have a new engine so she can taxi.

She is preserved in a fully working condition by a team of volunteers headed by its owner Andre Tempest.. She has currently undergone a full restoration which has involved hundreds of man hours taking her down to her undercoat and fully repainting her in the right Hemp colours she was in during the latter stage of her RAF life.
