Decmber 9, (year unknown) - A Saturn One rocket, believed to be the most powerful space booster in the world, towers 163 feet above Launch Pad No. 37, dwarfing men, cars and trailers below, at Cape Kennedy, Florida. The rocket is scheduled to blast off next Wednesday in the first attempt to ignite its hydrogen-powered second stage in-flight. Although it will be a test flight, the rocket will aim at hoisting the largest satellite ever, weighing 19 tons, into orbit. The picture was taken from the top of the gantry which is pulled away at blastoff.
