June 10, 1961 - The first flight configuration of the giant Saturn C1 space vehicle rests in a 204-foot high test tower at Redstone Arsenal. The rocket is 163 feet high. Its booster is to be launched at Cape Canaveral later this year. The entire vehicle is to be launched in 1964.
