Taken from my backyard when the AWACS from Tinker was in the area for training. Spent many hours watching them train and was able to get more than a few really nice shots of this wonderful bird.
I neglected to say the location, this is on take off from KRME, the old Griffiss AFB, Rome, NY. Now it's called the Oneida County International Airport.

Thank you, overthemoon. Was very lucky to be included in a tour of this aircraft later in the week. Presented the pilot and crew with a matted and framed copy of this image. Pilot contacted me later and asked for another as his commander had the one they took home, hanging in his office. That was a very fine compliment to be sure.
