AirSpace announcement

After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close the community site AirSpace.

The digital landscape has changed since we launched the site in 2007 and the growth of social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter have replaced forums as a way to communicate with like-minded people.

AirSpace will close for new entries but the site will remain open for a period of time in order to allow users to remove their own images/content.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to AirSpace over the years and has helped to make it such a valuable resource for people who love aviation. You can still reach Flightglobal on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Google+ and access flightglobal.com for the latest news and views.

if you have any questions/comments please email me at stuart.clarke@flightglobal.com.

FAQs

Why shutdown AirSpace?

The site was launched at a time when there were limited ways to reach and talk to people with similar interests. Since 2007 the opportunities have grown and we need to reflect and support that.

You can still reach Flightglobal on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Google+ and access flightglobal.com for the latest news and views.

What happens to my image gallery on AirSpace?

We will lock the site for a period of time to allow users to download or remove their images if they wish. The site will eventually be removed and all images will be removed as well. Images copyrighted to Flightglobal may still be used in the future.
