A new contender in the Battle of the noses, now again raging on AirSpace. This is the rugged nose of Antonov AN-2 c/n 17847302 D-FONL arriving after a sightseeing flight at Teuge airport in the Netherlands (EHTE), on 30 April 2011. The aircraft is comparable to other designs of the '40's of the last century, like the de Havilland Beaver and the Noorduyn Norseman. The similarity makes it unlikely it will become an overall winner of this noses contest when compared with, for instance, the unique nose of the DC-3, the favourite of AirSpace user Flyvertosset.
